On the afternoon of August 21st, in E210, the school network information center, with Liu Teng's voice falling, the team members got excited as all the team members on the scene played a stable role. "The national first prize is in the bag!" Instructor Liu Huajie and Yan Weiwei finally smiled outside the National Finals of the 16th National College Students Chemical Design Competition of Tianzheng Design Cup. On the 22nd, the results of the competition were announced, and the Chun He Jing Ming team of our school won the first prize of the National Chemical Design Competition, which is also the third consecutive year that the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering won the prize.
The 16th National College Students Chemical Design Competition of Tianzheng Design Cup was co-sponsored by CIESC Professional Committees, Ministry of Education and China Education Association of Chemical Industry, and hosted by East China University of Science and Technology. Due to the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, the competition was held online. At the final scene, our school competed with 60 teams from Zhejiang University, Central South University, Xiamen University and Hunan University. After fierce competition, the Chun He Jing Ming team of our school won the first prize in the national finals.
"From the Hunan Provincial Competition, to the South China Regional Competition and then to the National Competition, our instructors provide guidance throughout the whole process. In the practical simulation, they are tolerant of mistakes and help us find mistakes. They provide many constructive suggestions for our team. The team members cooperated closely and played their best in the competition." Liu Hongquan, leader of Chun He Jing Ming team, said.
Deng Jiyong, dean of the School of Materials and Chemical Engineering, said that three national first prizes in a row, given four participations in the competition rely on the support and help of various departments and colleges of the school. College students' innovative thinking, engineering skills and team cooperation spirit are developed through the competition. Also, it enhances students' engineering design and practice ability, preparing them to be excellent engineers.
